RichGirl are a four-member group assembled with the assistance of Rich Harrison, the producer/songwriter behind Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love" and Amerie's "1 Thing." Like most of the artists with whom Harrison collaborates, RichGirl keep one foot in contemporary R&B and the other in pop. Brought together from four different states across the U.S., vocalists Audra (California), Brave (Maryland), Seven (Florida), and Lyndriette (North Carolina) signed with Jive, through Harrison's Richcraft boutique label, in 2007. The group debuted in 2008 with "24's," a low-slung Southern-touched single ( an elegant spin on Destiny's Child's Harrison-produced "Soldier" ) featuring Bun B, but it surprisingly stalled at number 92 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart. Just as they set out on tour, as the opening act on the summer 2009 North American leg of Beyoncé's tour in support of I Am...Sasha Fierce, they issued their second single, "He Ain't with Me Now (Tho)." Their debut album was scheduled for release by the end of that summer.
